Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics/NICU

This is a 13-week contract position working night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory therapy services to neonates, infants, and children, playing a vital role in a level 4 NICU with a focus on pediatric cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Conduct assessments of patients and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain and operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
• Document patient care and treatment progress in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant respiratory therapy experience required.
• RRT certification required; BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Must hold a South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license at the time of start.
• Epic experience is preferred.
