Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics/NICU Level 4

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position working three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holiday rotation and weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care in the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU Level 4). Responsibilities will include administering respiratory treatments, monitoring patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients in the NICU.
• Perform assessments and evaluations of patients’ respiratory functions.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vitals and react promptly to changes in condition.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT certification and South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license required at time of start.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory care.
• Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP are mandatory.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
