Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care in a long-term care facility. The successful candidate will serve as an integral member of the nursing staff, adhering to the highest standards of patient care while respecting patient rights and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to all patients, ensuring compliance with their rights and dignity.
• Utilize nursing scope of practice effectively in day-to-day operations.
• Monitor and document patient health status and progress.
• Assist in the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Participate in special committees and contribute as a professional representative of the nursing team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited LPN or LVN program.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; one year of experience in a hospital or long-term care environment is preferred.
• Must hold a current and valid LPN license in good standing in the State of Alaska.
• Current CPR certification (BCLS) required.
• Completion of IV certification course.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
