Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in critical situations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to effectively assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to function well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Provide quality patient care in the ED setting.
• Assess and implement safety protocols for patients and staff.
• Assume charge nurse duties when required.
• Recognize and address safety issues using appropriate patient handling techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with MEDITECH is necessary.
• Travel experience is required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Critical care and charge experience preferred.
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certifications must be obtained during orientation.
