Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will be responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. They will ensure the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities while serving as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in the student program as assigned, providing a positive learning environment for students.
• Create and actively pursue an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and follow through with action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school (Required)
• 6 or more months of outpatient clinical experience (Required)
• Current CPR certification (Required)
• 6 months' duration is desired but not mandatory.

Schedule

5 days a week, 8-hour shifts with evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-ups every 30 minutes.
