Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and evaluating patient care needs.
• Planning and implementing nursing care plans.
• Documenting patient care activities and outcomes.
• Providing specialized care in various surgical specialties including GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics.
• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional standards.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The shift is from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend schedules will be determined by the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of recent General OR experience.
• Experience in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics.
• Active RN license with verification less than 30 days old.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
