CVICU Registered Nurse

Job Description

This is a critical care position for a CVICU Registered Nurse focusing on direct open-heart recovery and managing advanced cardiac devices such as Impella and balloon pumps. The role involves providing high-level care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and complications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU setting.
• Manage advanced cardiac devices and post-operative recovery of cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours scheduled, and 24 hours guaranteed. Flexibility is required for weekends and holidays as per unit guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience, with at least 12 months of recent experience.
• Current Arizona RN licensure or eligible to obtain.
• Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
