Addiction Rehabilitation Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8-hour day shifts, with every other weekend required and one winter holiday and one summer holiday off.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and capable LPN to join our Addiction Rehabilitation unit. This voluntary unit accommodates 23 patients, primarily adults aged 18 and older, rehabilitating from substances such as alcohol and drugs. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in managing medications, admissions, and addressing any medical issues that arise during patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess detox symptoms in patients.
• Administer medications and handle medical admissions.
• Collaborate with counselors on patient care and ensure adherence to unit rules.
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain EKGs as needed.
• Facilitate smooth transitions for patients with behavioral or psychiatric issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year MedSurg experience; psych experience preferred but not required.
• Current Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Certifications: BLS, De-Escalation Training, ACLS required.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and obtaining EKGs.
