Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator of patients, families, students, and coworkers and performs other professional duties associated with patient care and therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Documents patient care clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely in compliance with applicable guidelines.
• Participates in the student program as assigned, providing a positive learning environment.
• Creates a professional development plan and actively pursues professional growth.
• Adheres to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintains professional licensure in good standing.
• Engages in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
