Outpatient Physical Therapist - 13 Week Contract

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and ensuring that the therapy services align with the goals outlined by the patient's needs and physician direction. This role includes delegating and directing therapy services and creating functional treatment programs to facilitate patients' return to community activities. The therapist also plays an educational role for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop focused treatment plans.
• Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
• Ensure care is provided per signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs, providing appropriate supervision and feedback.
• Create and actively pursue a professional development plan to enhance clinical skills.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Engage in performance improvement methodologies to enhance the quality of services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule, featuring 60-minute evaluations and follow-ups every 30 minutes.
