Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float Pool

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour night shift rotation, spanning from 7 PM to 7 AM or 7 AM to 7 PM, with availability for 36 hours per week. The role requires working 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend, along with at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of the Med Surg Float Pool, providing care across various Med Surg Tele units and the South East Tower. Flexibility is essential, as the role will require floating to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to appropriate healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Participate in staff development and educational activities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute med surg/tele in a hospital setting.
• An active New York RN license is required.
• AHA BLS certification is also necessary.
• For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of relevant work experience in the U.S. is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
