Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position with a Night schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care Unit. This unit consists of 36 private rooms, prioritizing admissions for patients requiring medical cardiac care and those recovering from cardiac procedures such as surgery, stent placements, and pacemaker implants. The patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients, with a focus on hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac care environment.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Manage patient care for those recovering from cardiac interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.
• Utilize telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1.5+ years of nursing experience.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Must hold a valid RN license.
• Travel experience preferred.
