Job Description

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) will provide respiratory care services to both NICU and adult patients in a small department. The RCP is expected to perform every other weekend and may be required to float to other facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care services in both NICU and adult units.
• Participate in high-risk delivery assistance and emergency care.
• Utilize advanced respiratory support technologies and therapies.
• Handle neonatal and pediatric patients in a level II NICU setting.
• Monitor and manage ventilation therapies including BiPAP and CPAP.
• Conduct interpretations of arterial blood gases and other diagnostic tests.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, CRT; RRT preferred.
• NICU and adult clinical experience required.
• Compact state license must be in hand at submission.
