This position requires working Night shifts, specifically a 3x12 hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

The MedSurg Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on stroke and neuro diagnoses. The ideal candidate must be able to handle floating to other Med/Surg and Telemetry areas as required, which may include COVID care units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care to individuals with stroke and various neuro conditions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• Handle IV starts and administration of necessary medications.
• Participate in floating to other medical-surgical areas as required.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety measures and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct MedSurg experience.
• Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS (ACLS preferred but not required).
• Must be open to floating and working every other weekend.
• EKG Testing must be passed prior to start.
