Neuro Surgical RN - Night Shift

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shift from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neuro Surgical RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro surgical procedures and be equipped to handle a ratio of 1:5-6 patients. The contract staff may also be required to work as part of a Storm Team or Hurricane Team, responding to catastrophic events or mass casualties.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing neuro surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and utilize SBAR for handoff reports.
• Participate in a float requirement as needed within or near the facility.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and handle patient care management related to cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in neuro or surgical settings.
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to starting in this specialty.
• Ability to float to different units as assigned.
