12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) Float will provide nursing care in various medical and surgical units. This role requires adaptability and a strong foundation in nursing procedures, as the RN will float between departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in medical and surgical units.
• Utilize Meditech EMR and other equipment as necessary, including pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members across departments.
• Adhere to established nursing protocols and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of RN experience.
• Current Hawaii RN license required by the start date.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Additional certifications (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC) are a plus.
