Registered Nurse - Night Shift Float

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will float between various medical and surgical units, providing nursing care to patients in diverse settings. Candidates are required to have an active State of Hawaii license prior to the start of the assignment. Note that medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes in patient care.
• Adhere to established nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:6 for day/evening shifts in medical units, 1:8 for night shifts, and 1:4 in cardiovascular units.
• Participate in unit-specific training and orientation programs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.
• Active State of Hawaii RN License by the start of the assignment.
