Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Nights

This position requires three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will direct and coordinate the patient care team, emphasizing individualized quality patient care in line with state and hospital standards. Responsibilities include developing patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other care team members, as well as the patient and their family when applicable. The RN will demonstrate professional nursing skills utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct assessments, plan nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Promote teamwork and communication with medical staff and personnel throughout the facility.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies related to confidentiality and patient rights.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or pending licensure by endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Excellent assessment, communication, documentation, and computer skills.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
