Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule

Night shift: 5x8-Hour (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with rotating weekends and holiday rotations.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a temp-to-perm opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping procedures within a Level I Trauma Center. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with sterilization protocols and standards.
• Float between various campuses as needed to meet facility requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team regarding instrument and equipment availability.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday shifts as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• National Certification: CBSPD or HSPA required.
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma setting is required.
• Experience with a variety of cases preferred, including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, and Gynecology.
