Sterile Processing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Technician for a temporary to permanent position in a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility. The successful candidate will have experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping within sterile processing. The role will require adherence to hospital policies, safety regulations, and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments and trays for a variety of cases including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and GYN.
• Comply with safety and health standards while maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Utilize biological indicators, chemical indicators, and steam sterilization testing and monitoring.
• Document equipment use and maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and results.
• May be required to float or be reassigned to other facility branches as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in sterile processing is required.
• National certifications such as CBSPD or HSPA are required.
• Experience in Level I Trauma Centers is a must.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.

Schedule

This position offers a day shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with rotation during holidays.
