Registered Nurse - Night Shift - Med/Surg

Full-Time, Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description

Seeking a competent Registered Nurse with experience in a Med/Surg environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence in practice while managing patient care with awareness of clinical contingencies. This role involves providing both routine and complex nursing care, and effectively delegating tasks to other care providers to enhance clinical management.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification via AHA required.
