Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This position involves a rotating shift schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities. This is a short-term contract position lasting 17 weeks.

Job Description

Join our fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) at a state-of-the-art facility that manages over 100,000 patient visits annually and is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. As a Registered Nurse in the ED, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarder patients. Please note that this position is not suitable for first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver effective and efficient patient care.
• Manage a diverse patient population and assist with boarding patients as needed.
• Perform telemetry duties and respond to emergency situations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel experience in the ER is mandatory.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification is also required.
