RN Supervisor - Part Time Nights

Job Description

The RN Supervisor will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care and is responsible for the oversight and operation of nursing units. This role includes providing clinical supervision to nursing staff and ensuring quality resident care through effective staff education and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to assigned staff.
• Ensure quality resident care through teaching and supervising nursing staff.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers concerning unit problems and collaborate on resolutions.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care, with supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI system is required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
