RN Supervisor - Full-Time Evenings

Full-Time Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 5 days a week.

Job Description

The RN Supervisor will oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to nursing staff under the direction of the Director of Nursing - Long Term Care (LTC). This role is focused on assuring quality resident care through effective leadership and communication with nursing teams and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and oversight for nursing staff on assigned shifts.
• Ensure quality resident care through training and support of nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers regarding unit issues.
• Make administrative decisions in absence of Director of Nursing and LTC Administrator during off-shift and weekends.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and teamwork within the nursing units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care.
• Previous supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units is required.
• BLS certification required through AHA or RQI.
• CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
