RN Supervisor - Part Time Evenings

This position requires part-time evening shifts, working 2x8s or 3x8s weekly, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to oversee the operation of nursing units under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC. The individual will provide clinical supervision to nursing staff throughout various shifts to ensure quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing units and provide clinical supervision to employees assigned to various nursing units.
• Ensure quality resident care through effective teaching and supervision of staff.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers regarding unit problems.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator - LTC during off-shift/weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care with supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units.
• BLS certification required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation.
• CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
