PACU Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position is a 13-week contract with a flexible start time between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with varying days off.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The role requires proficiency in both pre-operative and PACU procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia, managing pain, and vital signs.
• Administer medications and provide care to patients post-surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months PACU experience, with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice.
• Life support certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from approved vendors.
• Travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Candidate driver's license to verify residency is also required.
