Pulmonary Med/Surg Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position operates on a 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM schedule, with a guaranteed 24 hours per week. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Med/Surg Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing with a focus on pulmonary specialties. This role will involve providing high-quality patient care, assisting in medical procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the pulmonary unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes.
• Educate patients and families on pulmonary health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months Med/Surg experience with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Active RN license with no hits on the state license to practice.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Driver's License to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
