Neuro Surgical RN - Night Shift (3x12 Hour) - 13 Weeks

This is a night shift position from 18:45 to 07:15, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing neuro surgical procedures, as well as those with neuro diagnoses. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients on the neuro surgical unit with ratios of 1:5-6.
• Administer medications and perform assessments based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Participate in emergency situations and be prepared to respond during catastrophic events.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a neuro surgical or acute care setting.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, compact licenses accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required; CPI is preferred.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
