Job Description

The Registered Nurse - House Supervisor will oversee nursing staff and coordinate patient care in a diverse medical unit that includes detox, swing bed, and medical patients. This position requires seasoned clinical judgment and effective team leadership in ensuring quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care delivered on all units, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements such as DPH, TJC, and OSHA.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to higher levels of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Social Services.
• Conduct crisis intervention and rapid response as needed.
• Monitor and report sentinel events ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a House Supervisor or RN Manager.
• Valid New York RN license is required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a hard requirement.
