Cath Lab Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 4x10-hour day shifts from 07:00 - 17:30. Shift variations may occur to ensure procedures are completed.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for providing quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. The technician will work collaboratively with the cardiovascular team to ensure the efficient operation of the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and provide immediate care as needed.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain sterile environments.
• Document all procedures accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Participate in on-call duty, including one weekend per month and additional evening shifts weekly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
• ARRT or RCIS certification is required or in process.
• Must hold a valid South Carolina state license (SCRQSA).
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency.
