Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some procedures potentially extending to 4:30 PM EST. No on-call or weekend shifts.

Job Description

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in cardiac imaging, you will perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies, including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT. Your role will involve delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, acquiring and processing diagnostic images, and adhering to all regulatory and safety standards. This position requires a commitment to continuous improvement and the implementation of new technologies in collaboration with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies with precision and expertise.
• Deliver compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Acquire and process diagnostic images and perform daily quality control.
• Maintain radio pharmacy operations in compliance with NYSDOH guidelines.
• Document patient data in the eRecord CUPID system.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology to enhance lab protocols.
• Uphold URMC's ICARE values in all work interactions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• At least 6 months of experience in Cardiac Imaging.
• Current NYS Rad Tech License.
• Preferred: NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
• BLS Certification required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program.
