Registered Nurse - Palliative/Stroke Unit

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule of 12 hours from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a rotation into day shifts as needed. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week are available, along with a requirement to work 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates must also work at least 1 holiday during their contract period.

Job Description

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a 20-bed Palliative/Stroke/Tikosyn unit. Nurses will be required to be flexible with schedules and may need to float to other units as necessary. The position includes care management and direct patient interaction within a team-focused environment.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience is required for non-U.S. candidates.

Required Certifications and Licensure

• Active New York RN license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
