Registered Nurse - Cardiac ICU

Schedule

Night Shift - 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Three 12-hour shifts per week). This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiac ICU. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing patients with complex cardiac conditions. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the capability to handle various patient care responsibilities while maintaining high standards of clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac ICU, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
• Manage patients on ventilators and vasoactive drips.
• Ensure superior patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and adherence to protocols.
• Float to other units, including Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit as needed.
• Document all patient care activities in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Participate in patient and family education efforts to promote understanding of health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current AZ RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Cardiac ICU or similar setting.
• Experience with Cardiovascular procedures, including Post CABG, STEMI, and Vascular interventions.
• Willingness to work at least 6 weekend shifts during a 6-week schedule.
