Registered Nurse - Charge RN

Schedule

This position involves working 3x12-hour night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Job Description

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with previous travel nursing experience preferred. The successful candidate will work in a 29-bed unit providing care for adult to geriatric patients, focusing on orthopedic and medical surgical patients. The unit also offers telemetry monitoring and has a physical therapy gym on-site for patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Care for a diverse patient population, including those undergoing total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.
• Provide support in charge nurse shifts as needed.
• Manage and facilitate patient care activities, including telemetry monitoring and wound care.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as per clinical protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Charge Nurse experience is required.
• Active RN license must be held at the time of submission.
• BLS certification is required.
• Prior experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
