Job Description

This position functions within the Outpatient Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the clinic. The nurse will maintain skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participate in in-services and educational programs as assigned. Duties also include adhering to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and addressing employee concerns in accordance with Human Resources Policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services, ensuring excellent quality of care and compliance with standards.
• Lead and direct clinic staff for efficient operation, including front desk and patient care.
• Manage medication inventory and supplies, ensuring necessary quality control checks are conducted.
• Document all care and services provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist providers and staff as needed, anticipating their requirements to ensure quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to support patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of primary care experience required.
