Urgent care hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM. Shifts vary across days and hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Urgent Care Department will assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting, ensuring the overall operation and efficiency of the Clinic. This position requires collaboration with clinic staff and management to deliver the highest quality of care while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients and assist providers as needed.
• Maintain medication inventory and supplies, ensuring accuracy and availability.
• Conduct quality control checks with Point of Care tests.
• Document all care and services professionally and in a timely manner.
• Ensure the clinic operates efficiently, managing both patient care and front desk functions.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to support patient care.
• Participate in training and educational programs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, addressing any safety hazards promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 2 years of urgent care experience within the last 2 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
