Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 36 hours per week available. Must work 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

The RN in the Med Surg Float Pool will provide care across various Med Surg Tele units, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of the facility and its patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in multiple Med Surg Tele units as required.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using EPIC charting.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
• Provide effective patient and family education.
• Adapt to changing demands and float to different units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in acute Med Surg/Tele nursing in a hospital setting.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
