Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

This position requires a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, including the management of complex medical conditions and critical patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and manage patients with diverse diagnoses, including DKA, acute respiratory conditions, ETOH withdrawal, and sepsis.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placement as required.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Utilize special equipment such as CADD Pumps and PCA pumps.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a similar medical/surgical environment.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Must have a valid NY State RN license in hand to submit for this position.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred.
