Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (18:30 - 07:00). Every other weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with 1-2 years of recent experience and a solid foundation in basic to intermediate fetal monitoring. The ideal candidate will be adept in managing high-risk deliveries and supporting families through labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and procedures including Cesarean sections.
• Administer medications and manage post-delivery care.
• Support breastfeeding initiatives and educate new mothers on infant care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications (must be in hand at time of submission).
• Valid RN license for the state of Oklahoma or compact RN license.
• Experience with fetal monitoring and management of high-risk pregnancies is preferred.
