Job Description

Join a fast-paced and challenging obstetrical unit that handles over 300 births per month. The selected Registered Nurse will be essential in providing high-quality care to obstetrical patients, including those who are high-risk antepartum and postpartum.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist in labor and delivery.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and provide immediate newborn care.
• Work in a high-volume environment with double labor assignments.
• Care for patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum and high-risk antepartum/postpartum care.
• Utilize hospital systems such as PYXIS and EPIC for charting and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume obstetrical unit required; 3 years preferred.
• Traveler experience accepted, including first-time travelers with relevant backgrounds.
• Current certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP.
• Experience with infant/neonatal care and interpretation of dysrhythmias is strongly preferred.
• Applicants should be open to floating as needed within the women's unit.
