This is a three twelve-hour shifts weekly position (36 hours) on day shift from 0630 to 1900. There is no guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care. The candidate must be able to care for patients across the adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management to patients
• Manage both ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support
• Consult with physicians regarding patient respiratory needs
• Administer CPR and provide emergency respiratory care
• Utilize computerized charting and medication management
• Operate various respiratory care equipment including PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
• Active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by the start of the assignment
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved application for medical or religious exception required prior to contract start date
