Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts, including days and nights from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Job Description

The Travel Respiratory Therapist will administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management while ensuring patient safety and monitoring responses to treatment. The therapist will conduct patient assessments, document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures, and manage ventilator settings. Adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct patient assessments related to respiratory needs.
• Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures.
• Manage ventilator settings and maintain airway patency.
• Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Execute pulmonary function studies and participate in cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications.
• RRT or CRT certification required.
• State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Pediatric and neonate experience is necessary.
• Must be willing to obtain NRP certification prior to or immediately after starting.
