Registered Nurse - Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Specialist

Day Shift - 8 hours, Monday to Friday

Job Description

The Registered Nurse functions as a consultant to all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wound care, ostomy management, and continence needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation for skin prevention and wound care management.
• Assist nursing staff with ostomy care and continence needs.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Completion of a registered nurse degree program is required.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
• Must meet the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew BLS every two years.
