Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 19:00-07:00, Weekend Rotating

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate recovery phase. This includes monitoring labor progress, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess labor progress and fetal well-being.
• Provide support and education to mothers during labor and delivery.
• Assist in delivering infants and performing immediate newborn care.
• Circulate during C-sections and provide post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) support as needed.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech/CPN systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted).
• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN must be in submission packet.
• Ability to scrub C-sections is preferred.
