Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients by employing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to ensure the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department. Clinical competencies must be maintained through ongoing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process.
• Anticipate and plan for safe patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to the experience and education of available staff.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in the provision of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, specifically in Emergency Room settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Active Arizona RN License.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 3x12-hour shift schedule, from 07:00 to 19:30.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
