Registered Nurse - Psych/Behavioral Health

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 19:00 to 07:30, with guaranteed weekly hours of 36. Weekend hours are required every other week or as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse specializing in Psych/Behavioral Health. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients within a psychiatric health care facility. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in need.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and external organizations.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and wellness strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
