Registered Nurse - MedSurg Medical Stroke Unit

12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of the MedSurg Medical Stroke Unit, responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with stroke and other medical conditions in an acute care setting. The RN will monitor patient progress, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, Epic.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Experience with stroke care and NIHSS certification is a plus.
• Experience with Epic EMR and travel nursing is highly preferred.
