Radiology Technologist - Mammography

Schedule

This position offers a day shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM. For the right candidate, there is a potential for 4x10 block scheduling, though Saturday work is mandatory.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist specializing in mammography to join our team. The role involves conducting diagnostic and screening mammograms, performing stereotactic biopsies, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards. You will be responsible for an average of 20 visits per day and working within a unit that includes 2 rooms.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3-D and diagnostic mammograms
• Conduct stereotactic biopsies and fine needle aspirations
• Ensure compliance with universal precautions and core measures
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting
• Adhere to safety protocols in radiation safety

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mammography role
• Current ARRT certification: ARRT M*, ARRT R
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Valid California state license required; no pending licenses will be accepted
