Registered Nurse - Telemetry/PCU - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts, working 12 hours from 7 PM to 7:15 AM. Every other weekend and holiday are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse performs a variety of integrated functions, utilizing the nursing process and applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring, concerned manner. The nurse will float to other PCU/Med Surg floors if required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patients' real and/or perceived needs.
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if care goals are being met.
• Consult and collaborate with members of the healthcare team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Telemetry cardiac experience is required.
• Recent travel work history is highly preferred.
• Active Michigan RN License (LARA and/or Nursys).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
