2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 5 x 8 hours shifts with one weekend per month (7 AM - 3:30 PM)

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing advanced technical equipment and administering contrast materials as necessary. The role entails preparing the scan room and ensuring patients are ready for examination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scan room and patient for examinations.
• Draw up and administer IV and oral contrast as needed.
• Warm-up MRI equipment and enter patient data and scan parameters.
• Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI studies.
• Transport and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Perform scans while ensuring proper imaging protocols and positioning.
• Mark and enter images correctly for orientation and order.
• Prepare records for radiologists ensuring completion and correct order of images.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MRI experience is required.
• Experience with Siemens equipment is required.
• Active MRI Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Skills checklist, updated within the last year, is required.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required.
